Kids art camp!

Kids art camp!

CA$480.00

Do you have the kind of kid who wants to make art and be creative but they’re not interested in following a formula? Do they complain about other art teachers telling them “how to do it the right way”. Then this is the art camp for them!

Come into my art studio, 4277 Fraser street, where I work full time as a potter and teacher. Each day we will have a variety of new projects to make. I will give your kids some guidance and direction but after that they can let their minds take over and see what happens. If they choose to take a break they might find something fun to build in the invention corner. I will have a collection of junk and strange objects they can build or invent with. Maybe they need a snack and want to relax in the book nook? I will have a cozy area with lots of graphic novels to look through.

Each day at around 12:45 we pack up and drive to a new local park. My husband Steve helps with a second vehicle. The kids can bring their lunch and play at the playground, read on a blanket in the shade or make crafts with some materials I bring along. We play card games, play grounders and soccer. I will send a list of all the parks a a wee before the camp starts. At 2:30 we meet back at the studio for pick up.

Some past projects have included:

Solar printed tote bags (printmaking), frankenstein stuffies (sewing), squeegee painting, fabric marker/paint on t-shirts, pottery, graffiti, button making, shrink art, felting, beading, paper mache

Camp runs July.6 - July.10 10am-2:30pm. Location is 4277 Fraser st (alley entrance). I will have a teen art helper there for extra fun!

Please contact me if you have any questions, concerns, info about your child you would like me to know. This is an LGBTQIA2S+ inclusive and safe class.
